On 1 May 2024, ZAPP Energy will launch as a new electricity retailer, with the ambition to create Denmark's best electricity company with a strong value proposition for EV owners living in their own homes, but also for those who live in an apartment without an EV.
ZAPP was established in spring 2020 and is one of the pioneers in e-mobility in Denmark. The company is among the largest charging station operators in Denmark.
“With thousands of EV owners as happy customers, it was a natural development for us to expand our value proposition to also offer electricity agreements”, says Janus Broch Mols, CMO & Co-founder of ZAPP, and continues: ”We looked at the various suppliers of billingsystems for electricity retailers available in the market and found that CUBS had clearly the best offering for a company like ours“.
The agreement with CUBS was concluded at the end of January 2024, and ZAPP Energy has already been approved in March by EnergiNet as an electricity retailer with CUBS as a billingsolution.
